English meaning:

I salute the Lord, the remover of sin, who is called Rama; who is beyond the ultimate cause; by whose Maya is controlled the entire universe as well as the hosts of gods beginning from the creator; because of whose existence everything appears real like the illusory perception of a snake on a rope; and whose feet are like a raft to those who desire to cross the ocean of life.

O Lord, O Thou the inmost Self of all, I tell Thee the truth: I do not cherish any worldly desire in my heart. Do Thou grant me intense devotion unto Thee. Do Thou also free my mind from passions and other impurities.

O Lord, I bow to Thee, who art compassionate, gracious and sweet. Thou alone, O Lord, art marvellous, selfless, mighty and omnipresent. Thou art the teacher of the world, eternal, transcendent, one and absolute. I worship Thy lotus feet that enable the selfless souls to attain to Thy eternal abode.

I offer worship unto Thee, O Lord of love, whom the wordly-minded cannot reach, but who art to the devotees the wish yielding tree, and the object of worship to all. Lord of the universe, Thou art formless and yet with forms. Have mercy upon me, O Lord, and pray, promptly grant me devotion to Thy lotus feet.

Saluations unto Thee, thou all pervading and great Lord. Thou art liberation itself, and the revealed scripture is Thy embodied form. I worship Thee, the unborn, attributeless and unconditioned one. Thou art without any desire. Intelligence itself is Thy nature, and the sky Thy garment.
