Sri Lakshmi Kubera Pooja is performed for attaining wealth and properity. Lakshmi, is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power and beauty. Without the grace of Lakshmi, our toil is of no avail.
Kubera is Dhanpati, the Lord of riches, the guardian of the North and is associated with all the treasures of the world that lie underground. He posseses aerial chariot. According to the mythology even the richest of Gods Lord Venkateshwara is paying till today the interest for the loan he borrowed from Kubera. There is a custom to worship Lakshmi & Kubera together to reap the double benefits. Traditional practices in the line of devotion are valuable as they are already tested and accepted as bearing the fruit without fail.
